He attended the University of Maryland for Computer Science and began his career in technical training in 1993. In 1998, he co-founded Phoenix TS with his wife and partner, Firoozeh Azarbaidjani.

In 2002 he began his enterprise computing career as a contractor for Exxon Mobil Global Information Services.
